Personal Information

Biography: I am...me. That's the in and out of it; I like to help others and feel I am making an impact in my community, even if it is minute. Ladies are strong; ladies are fighters, and to me that's awesome. Injustice really pisses me off. I do believe in my own strength, but in the face of injustice I get scared. Objectification is the worst; to me, ladies are sacred and should be treated as such! If we can't have the basic human needs and rights of respect and equality, then what will become of us? That is why we must continue this fight.
My sheroes: My mom, for leaving my abusive dad; my aunt, for always being true to herself; my grandma, for being a working mom in the 50's; every woman I've ever worked with in The Vagina Monologues; Eve Ensler; Margaret Sanger; Margaret and Jet at my local Planned Parenthood, for being so much more than advisors; Mita, my Lit teacher who's a giant feminist despite an arranged marriage and cultural ideals to the contrary. I admire every single lady listed here and more.
Personal goals: Ideally, I want to be ok to be alone, to be by myself and feel confident in that, and in my relationships. So, that's pretty much the biggest thing I work on daily. Also, I'd like to change the world! Pretty much, that's it.
Bragging Rights: I've been in a local production of The Vagina Monologues for three years running. This has been monumental every single time, and every year it just gets better. The self-discovery and revelations found in this community continue to astound us. Also, I've done local Radical Cheerleading, and various Planned Parenthood activities for years.
